How Spin Laundry Does Less

When Morgan Gary started Portland’s Spin Laundry Lounge, she set out to revolutionize the laundry experience. But she also saw Spin as her opportunity to have a positive impact on the environment as well as the community. That meant finding ways of using less and conserving more, starting with high efficiency washers and natural gas dryers that use 3.5 times less water and 15% less energy than home machines. And she furthered Spin’s eco-friendliness by participating in energy programs like NW Natural’s Smart Energy, which allows her to offset her businesses’ natural gas use.

And as Morgan takes on more with a recently opened second location, she continues to focus on less, helping her customers reduce the impact of their clean socks – encouraging them to wash clothes less often, suggesting they always wash in cold water, and offering earth friendly soaps and other laundry products.

So if you’re in need of a better laundry experience, we encourage you to visit one of Spin’s two Portland-area locations. Your clothes and the environment will thank you.
